Here's the California redwood. This amazing tree may live a 1000 years and grow to 300 feet tall (and above that). Groves on the northern California coast and Sequoia National Park in the Sierra Nevada.

We went to Sequoia Nat'l. a few years ago and were in awe of these massive trees. There was a gigantic one called Sherman something or other. Beautiful pictures!
